
Latin X/Hispanic Students
Sonoma State is determined to be an institute of diversity, equity, and inclusion and it extends to the Latin X community as well other communities on campus. Latin X/ Hispanic Students make up 37.93% (more than 1/3)(as of Fall 2020) of the student population (Male 957 /Female 2,002). There is course curriculum, clubs and organizations, teaching staff, support, and resources available to the Latin X community which you can find here on this webpage. We hope that through these resources this can help you, the student, further your education, inclusivity, betterment, and eventual graduation here at Sonoma State.

Provides a safe space for undocumented students where they receive academic, personal, and professional guidance in order to matriculate and graduate.
PUERTA Centro
The PUERTA (Preparing Underrepresented Educators to Realize their Teaching Ambitions) Project seeks to increase the number of Latinx teachers serving in K-12 public schools.
Alianza for Equity
Alianza for Equity offers a visible presence and united voice for Latino/a/x faculty, staff, students, and their allies, to critically examine and proactively address pressing equity issues facing our campus and surrounding community.

Raza Graduation
Raza Graduation allows SSU Latinx students to participate in a more personal and meaningful commencement celebration with others who share similar ethnic backgrounds.

Nuestra Cultura Cura Initiative is committed to promote and enhance the health and well-being of the Latinx community. We raise awareness and reduce mental health stigma by building on our cultural strengths to empower our community to heal. We do this by working collaboratively with resources and agencies to implement innovative culturally defined practices to address mental health needs in the Latinx community.
