Black Students

Like other campuses around the United States, Sonoma State University has to face the historical injustice within their institution. The Black community on campus is actively involved in changing the physical space in and around the campus for its students. Sonoma State wants to actively participate in creating a more just, safe, and anti-discriminatory culture to enter the new phase of colleges where all students feel welcome. We hope that our resources on and off campus can be a first step towards a tight knit community.

Multicultural Sorority and Fraternity Council

The Multicultural Sorority and Fraternity Council (MSFC) is the governing and representative body for 7 of our nationally affiliated fraternities and sororities. With four women's and three men's organizations, MSFC is home to many SSU students. As a community, the chapters seek to promote the general welfare and support the diversity of all students within the Greek community and beyond. Founded upon the principles of culture and creating opportunity for its members, MSFC organizations offer an experience that allows for the free exchange of ideas, programs, and services; promotes awareness of cultural diversity; and empowers students to use their voice to foster positive social change on campus.
